Let His fire surround you and let His glory shine!!

I know its been way to long since Ive done this and yes I say that every time! ;) I know. Im so sorry about that! I just cant seem to keep up with all this new technological stuff! Anyway things as usual have been crazy busy around here. Since the last time I wrote my family and I have moved across the country, spent a little over a month in Denmark, bought a house, painted the house, and finally are starting to settle in to our new home! Reegan is doing absolutely amazing! She is such a trooper and made the long trek with us in her car seat! Im telling you.. God is so good. Im not sure I know many 5 month olds who will drive for 6 days straight just so their crazy parents can move! She did it though and we are so grateful! I cant believe that shes already 10 months now. That means weve been back in the south for half her life That is absolutely CRAZY to think of considering we finally got into a place of our own. Dont ask its a long drawn out drama filled story BUT the good news is we are in!
We get to take a few weeks off of traveling this next month. It feels like we just skipped over fall and the holidays with how many different climates we were in. So it will be a welcomed change for us to be in one place longer than a week!
This past season of life has been a challenging one for us. It felt like we were in a holding pattern in all areas of life. We would press in but not really hear an answer. It was frustrating and exhausting to say the least. In the midst of the chaos that life can sometimes bring we sat and waited. Hoping we would hear that still small voice. Ill be honest and say that we didnt. Waiting is hard. Theres no getting around it. However through it we have learned and are still learning a TON about our need to rely on Christ, our need to love each other, our need to have others love us. Lets face it, were needy!
Devon read an incredible passage this morning from Zechariah that shows how the Lords protection has been around us despite us. And despite us His glory has been encamped within us. He is always wooing us back to Himself. He uses the city of Jerusalem and His people as an example of His love. The Lord speaks to Zechariah saying, Jerusalum will be a city without walls because of the great number of men and livestock in it. And I myself will be a wall of fire around it, declares the Lord, and I will be its glory within. Zechariah 2:4b-5
Let His fire surround you, and let His glory shine from within.
You are His protected beloved!
