This band as a whole has worked hard going through several lineups and several names to become what it is today. Lee Dudley from Gainesville, Cory Lyon and Mike Sharrow of Decatur started almost five years ago playing shows and shuffling through several members as Enami. Then as Divine Bloodshed, three members continued to look for the perfect fit. They finally meet two guys who had moved to Texas to start a band in Gainesville. The two guys, Michael Martin (bass/clean vocals) and Justin Brack (guitar) had moved from a deadend town called Hoisington, KS. Just to add, you say Gainesville sucks? Have you been to Kansas? After a year of writing, releasing an EP titled The Sky Was Smothered In Beauty That Day, Just That Day, and playing shows Mikey Sharrow decided to part ways with Because of Her. Luckily, a friend of the band, Ross Compton that did vocals on stage with the band for fun, soon took over his spot. Mikey Sharrow is still our little bitch though (wink wink). Soon after, Cory Lyon decided to part ways as well. After a couple auditions, the band decided to take on Tyler Pruitt as their drummer due to badass-ness and comedic similarities. Because of Her is now a happy family, but is at high risk due to the increse of peoples faces being melted off in the southern states.
