Live, BasTiD SoNz put on a show that will loosen the most stern of audiences and make necks and feet move as one with the nasty synco-grooves they lay down.
In the never-ending quest to expand their listening audience, BasTiD SoNz had a busy 2005. Some of the stages rocked in 2005 include the Danforth Music Festival, the Molson Indy Grand Tuner and opening slots with Canadas Social Code and Bobnoxious. Their 2005 debut release, TIMEOUT, had also managed to chart on college radio stations across Canada.
After 6 months of mini-tours and far less than one-year after pressing TIMEOUT, BasTiD SoNz have all but sold-out of available copies of TIMEOUT from the stage. Rather than pressing more of the same, BasTiD SoNz have started recording a second album, due out September 2006.
Thematically, BasTiD SoNz songwriting tackles everyday issues of people everywhere; young, old, rich, poor, sane and otherwise. Sonically, the BasTiDs songwriting approach draws on apparent influences such as Fishbone, The Police and the Beatles.
To-the-point, in your face and tightly synchronized, BasTiD SoNz capture the essence of their own blue-collar existence and make it sound righteous!!!
