Velocity Atrocity, Bait’s second installment of their “Traitor Odium Anthologyâ€, rips a gapping hole through convention while maintaining everything good in heavy music. Freaker's Ball, $1000 In Prize Money & iPod Shuffle.
Well Freaks & Freakettes, it's time once again!
Bait will be preforming at the 33rd Annual Freakers Ball And Costume Contest this Oct. 27th!!!! We will be giving away an ipod shuffle during our set and our good friends at Diabolical Productions-- will be giving away $1000 in prize money in the costume contest!!!
Due to high demand, The Guinness Freakers Ball Costume Contest will be held at 11pm this year. As usual, all contestants will begin lining up along the south wall inside the Cain's Ballroom at 10:45pm. Participants will be brought on stage in groups of 10-15. Through audience respose the eliminations will begin. After the top 2 in each group have been decided, then the final elimination will proceed until the final three are chosen: 1st place $500, 2nd place $300 and 3rd place $200.
Details on our set time and the ipod giveaway will be announced soon. So stay tuned for more on that!

Stolen gear!

Our good friend Rusti Love just called and let us know that she's been robbed. Below is a description of the items. If know of the whereabouts of the goods, please send us a message.
"Gibson mini jumbo, flame maple ebony fret board . w/mother of pearl inlay in the fret board, ebony saddle, slight convex on back, abalone around sound hole, 5 grover tuning pegs with one silver fender peg... this has made me SICK
they took the guitar and left the case
The other items stolen are
Kustom Vintage bass amp w/cover casters and handles
Peavy SR 2012 Powered mixer/sound board no cover mono/stereo
I have filed a police reported I am Currently looking for their serial numbers
I NEED ALL YOUR HELP IN THE RECOVERY OF THESE ITEMS
The Kustom amp is the only thing I have left of my Dad's and my gibson was my lively hood
I have been ill and people know when I am gone.. I an sickened to think that someone would take these things at the lowest time of my life.

Update!

If you make it to one of our next couple of shows, you could be the first to score some of our new merch! Starting this weekend @ Crush Lounge (69th & Lewis, show @ 7) & Coffee Creek Music Complex (for our OKC fans) new hats, sweat towels, do rags, & mouse pads will be hitting the merch table!

We will be recording our next CD in Austin with Dave Perceful (Yellow Dog Studios). Dave will be Co-Producing with us and we couldn't be more happier about it.

Torchy's-iTunes Giveaway, Air Play, & CD #3 Update

Looks like middle of January will be the Release of Bait's next CD, "Velocity Atrocity." Being a prolific band, we've been writing a boatload songs. Unfortunately, since "Velocity Atrocity", (the 2nd in our 3 EP Set, "Traitor Odium Anthology") we've go to narrow it down to five or six. It's always so hard to decide when you just want to let the world *sigh* hear 'em all. Of course, our Tulsa fans will get to hear 'em this friday night at Torchy's, 32nd & Mingo! (More details at the end of this bulletin)
The latest word is that we just got airplay in Germany, Lithuania, California, & over 30 new college stations just picked us up on the east coast! Thanks to all those of you that are listening & requesting. You don't know how much it means to us.
