First things first,
I want to thank every one who takes time out to listen. And twice for those who come back! My name is Florian a self taught guitar player from Deerfield Wisconsin. My earliest musical influences came from my family. My Grand father Benjamen and uncle Patrick both played several instruments. When we were together as a family they would jam together. Mostly old gospel songs and a lot of blue grass. Lots of banjo, fiddle playing, harmonica and guitar. I was hooked! As I grew up and became a little rebellious I began listening to the likes of Van Halen, Pink Floyd, Judas priest etc... The first time I heard the tune eruption by Eddie Van Halen I just lost my mind. Like many aspiring guitar players from that era I then knew guitar was the machine for me. Next to Eddie my biggest influence is Joe Satriani. Joe inspired me because... well his playing is nothing short of phenomenal but more than that he dared to do it without singing. Thats for me! So here I am Making music in "The Basement". and every song contains a very intimate message for someone close to me. Hidden in their titles is a clue to that message, and who they were written for. Music has always helped me to express myself,to express my feelings when the right words just couldn't be found. Feelings of love, hate, joy or pain. Some times just to say I understand. And yes on occasion a little nonsense thrown in. All this and more is hidden within the notes of each song. The best way to describe how I feel about my own music would be to say... each song is like a tattoo on my heart. For anyone who has ever tattooed the name of your "one true love" on yourself, just to lose that love later... You understand! ! I could go on and on here but thats not why we are here! The music is the reason. So I will finish with this. I am not Eddie, I am not Joe and I am not a musicians musician. But my music gets me high and I hope it will do the same for you! Thanks for listening! Sincerely Florian
