Back To Reality was formed in early 2004 when Jay Riethman (guitar/vocals) was hanging out with his life-long friends Kyle Elking (bass) and Andrew Pulskamp (drums/back vocals). Jay told Andrew and Kyle, jokingly, that they should learn how to play guitar or drums so they could start up a little band. He did not expect them to take him serious, but they did. After Andrew and Kyle worked up enough money to buy some instruments, the band was started. Ever since they have been improving tremendously.

We are currently not playing shows together anymore since we all left for college. Andrew is at Mount Saint Joseph and playing football there and Jay and Kyle are at Wright State University. Jay is obtaining a dual major in Accounting and Finance and Kyle is majoring in MIS.
