Bacchus begins a long time ago in 2001, with Mike Swindell (guitar/vocals), Ryan P. (drums), and Matt Dacierno (bass). After lots of bedroom practices and a few drummer problems we had an untitled, four song demo in 2003, recorded at Soundscape Studios in Pittsburgh.
After which Ryan fell away from the band due to various personal dilemmas in 2004. Mike and Matt continued practicing and writing music despite not being able to find a full-time drummer. We played a few shows in 2004-2005 with The Fuzz's guitarist Nick Turkall filling in the drummer spot.
A long and grueling drought came and went as we found Austin Bowen in the summer of 2006.
In July '08 Jake joined the band but his stay was short lived, he left in Jan '09.
