Hohoho
The winter cold got us all by the privates here up north and a guess we all wish we were somewhere else with a coconut drink in one hand, a cuban cigar in the other and the sun in our faces.
But, come rain or snow, the ska mail has to be delievered and we do our best to keep the people of the prozac and on the dancefloor.
After the Skatalites gig in Copenhagen we kind of kidnapped the lovely Doreen Shaffer and went to record the duet "number 1" with her. I't was a beautiful experience and just goes to show how music transends generations, nationalities and genders. It's a humbling experience to hear Doreen talk about her years recording in Coxone's Studio One. But also makes you realize that no matter how legendary they are today, at that time they were just a bunch of people trying to make a living and do their best. Just like all the rest of us. The track will hopefully be on our next album.
Like an offbeat version of Spinal Tap we keep those bassplayers coming and going( it's FOUR strings. How fucking hard can it be?). Our latest, and hopefully last, gunslinger is Henrik Chulu. Formerly a member of " Deleted Scenes " and currently working on his solo project " Imagiro", Henrik is a friend from the close knit Copenhagen ska scene. We really look forward to going on tour and stuffing him with bad autobahn food. Hopefully he won't disappear in a cloud of smoke and fire like the last ones.
Album on it's way blablabla...re-recording some of the tracks blablabla...out in spring blablabla..you know what we mean.
We'll end the year with a couple of gigs in Denmark and one in Berlin. The next year looks like it's gonna be pretty packed. We'll start off by going on a 6 week tour of Europe with the Toasters. It's gonna take us to a lot of countries we've never been to before and we're all bloody thrilled.I for one look forward to sipping Slivovic straight from the spring in balkan.
So if your in the area of Copenhagen, Randers or Berlin come and let us rock your christmas socks off. Otherwise......We'll see you all in spring. Sleep tight and don't let the frost bite.

Greetings to all rudeboys and rudegirls. Here's a tiny little update for your asses.
Another one bites the dust.... Some have the stamina for touring and some don't. After our last tour of Europe, our newest draftee bass player Jonas, threw in the towel, put his gloves on the shelf and got a nose job...Well you get the picture. So once again we're left bassless in this big bad world of ska. We've been doing a couple of gigs with replacements. Some we were very fond of, but alas, like most good bass players (and women) they were already spoken for.
So again we mount our horses and draw out to seek the best in the land. If your that bass slinging someone or just his or her's desperado sidekick, give us a buzz. only requirement is a bass, the skills and a great love for ska/soul/early reggae music. 'Nuff tragedy here's the comedy.
We had a monster, killer, Frankenstein and his 40 thieves tour!!!!! We can not give big enough thanks to all the lovely people we met. Paris lived up to its a.k.a, the city of lights, as we rocked away on the Sein in an old Chinese Djonk.
Bruxelles brought the roof down and the alcohol permille up, up and away, with there hospitality and 1000 year old brewing tradition. Sorry 'bout the
sandwich incident guys.
Everybody in Germany thanks for showing us a mass amount of love as always. You'll always be home away from home. We'll keep on crashing on your floors, eating your brtchen and giving you our best every single night.
Prague was out of this world. Like a stage set of " Le cit des enfant perdu" with machines and iron and bubbling tubes all over. This mazelike place, "cross club", made you feel like you were on a field trip in Dr. Jekyll's laboratory. If you get the chance VISIT IT!
To all the mics and limeys, the gigs in Ireland and England got cancelled due to financial problems. Sad but true. As so often in the ska world we stood to loosing a huge amount of money by going through with it. We tried as long as possible, but in the end it wasn't anywhere NEAR of even breaking even. We're still working on it and if you're that someone who can give us a helping hand in anyway we'd be eternaly thankfull. To all the people, especially promoters, who went out of their way to make it work, all we can say is we're deeply sorry and we hope to make everything click another time.
Last , but not least a huge hug to Roland 1 for providing killer sounds all the way and Roland 2 for being the most stubborn hitch-hiker in the northern hemisphere. Dejlige patterne til dig Roland 2.
For those interested, the pride of france, Two Tone Club's new album " Now is the time" is out and features a track written and sung by your favourite Babylove singer. Also featuring one of Copenhagens finest, my old "aid de campe" Martin Pato Siebenhaar. Check it out. It'll be worth your wile.
What the future holds in it's hairy boosom, noone knows, but we're still working on the album, pollishing of some ruff edges and adding new ones. Were playing a couple of shows in Denmark, Sweden and Germany this summer, but most importantly, we're taking a well deserved vacation. Charging the batterys, enjoying the melting tarmac under our feet and loving every second of theese long, hot summer nights.
