Gli Azer nascono nel 2002 con il nome di AngelFrost.


La formazione era composta da Alexandros Drepanon (chitarra),Federica (batteria) e Fabrizio (basso/voce); nel settembre del 2002 entra alla voce Golgota e inizia da quel momento la produzione di pezzi propri che si concretizza in diversi concerti sotto il nome Azariel che diventer l'attuale Azer.


Nel Marzo 2003 vede la luce la prima demo della band, registrato in presa diretta, "the long and furious ride" composto da 4 pezzi di black metal influenzato da death e thrash che riceve critiche contrastanti. Nell'estate 2004 per diversi problemi interni Federica prima, Fabrizio poi, lasciano il gruppo. Al loro posto subentrano Astius (batteria) e Improbum (Basso); con questa nuova formazione vengono scritti altri pezzi, pubblicati nello split "When globes of fire unite in hell"...

Azer is born during winter 2002, under the first monicker Angelfrost.


The initial lineup included Alexandros Drepanon (guitar), Federica (drums) and Fabrizio(bass/vocals); during september 2002, Golgota joined the band in the role of singer, then Azer begun composing new material and playing the first live shows (under the monicker Azariel).


The recording of our first work "The Long and Furious Ride" demo, was completed in the end of march 2003, the work included 4 black metal tracks with influences from thrash and death metal. In the summer 2004 due to some problems, Federica first and then Fabrizio left the band. They were replaced by Astius (drums) and Improbum (bass); once the lineup was complete and stable, Azer started composing new songs some of them published in the split cd w/ unleash hell "When Globes of Fire Unite in Hell".
