May Studio Update/Mini Tour

blog post
Onto the month of May, for more shows and we're still hard at work with completing 'Aestimatus Scilicet' within a reasonable timeframe! We are heading out to Vegas and St. George this friday to play a couple shows. When we get back we will be playing at The Avalon with A Change of Pace, and The Classic Crime on 6/6/06.. Pretty evil, huh? On the 7th we will be playing with our good friends Kaddisfly and Take The Fall. These will be our last shows for a while so we can work our little hiney's off to get this album done.

In previous news we haven't expanded on what exactly is going on this time around, and what the over all tone or feel of this piece of work is like, so why not now? Here we go...

Skaught has stepped up and taken over the majority of engineering duties and is the one mainly incharge of recording the band, while Brad has stepped up and brought some programming skills/ideas to the table. The combination of the two of them putting their heads together has turned out to be pretty interesting. On top of the input from Chris and Tyler, the end result is new material that we feel is something completely new and shows a grown up version of Ayin.

Without giving away too much, we can tell you over all that this album is a big step for us in many different ways. Its finally letting water of many fights and arguments pass under the bridge. Its having all of your frustrations on how the world is ran today exposed. Its the sadness of what drugs can do to some of your best friends. Its an example of how one life can alter and effect the lives of thousands. It is proof that what you think is far-fetched and unexpected, can be completely obvious to those around you.

We'll see your beautiful faces soon!

-Ayin
