Emerging from the not-so-dangerous streets of Bergen County, the story of Avenue is truly a tale of rare coincidence. Staging the early beginnings, Al, Bryan, and Miguel began to jam whenever they could, thriving on their newfound chemistry as friends. As the depths of their creativity grew, they became more driven to establish themselves amongst the local music scene. Theyre dedication and expectations soared to new heights as they sought out a voice to compliment the dynamic sound they began generating.

After a few unsuccessful attempts, the search for a new singer came to a screeching halt when they were introduced to Matt, in the most unlikely series of events. Lush and outspoken, Matt began singing loudly at a party; a party he was invited to by a childhood friend he hadnt seen in over ten years. Heard by all that were present, his calls were answered by the early members of Avenue, who took notice and approached him.

The four-piece group attributes their unique sound to their variety in taste. Each member of band hails from a different corner of the rock spectrum. Bryan, the guitarist, writes pop punk influenced guitar riffs, complimented by the hardcore influenced bassist, Al. Miguel, on drums, finds his niche with the likes of more mellow and chill style bands, such as 311, G-Love, and Jack Johnson. The fusion of these unique instrumentals, along with Matt's Claudio pitch and Brandon Boyd tone makes for a fearsome lineup
