Her Story
Her music tells her story.
On piano, guitar or simply at the mic, Audra Mae's richly crafted lyrics and memorable melodies are slightly cynical, all original.
Audra was raised in Oklahoma and is the oldest of six brothers and sisters. Her parents history is rooted in music, theatre and film as well.
It's never hard to find Audra - she is always working on one song or another - at full voice. She learned to play guitar on the one her friends pitched in to buy for her 17th birthday. She learned to play piano when she found her great-grandfather's Roland EP30 electric, stored in her mother's garage.
Her influences are as diverse as Patsy Cline, Ella Fitzgerald, Robert Plant and Elliot Smith; to name a few.
Also check out her MYSPACE website also.

Like Dan, I heard you on SOA. I found you in their online music credits. Fantastic voice. I never thought I would hear a version of "Forever Young" done as well as Rod Stewart but you knocked it out of the park. Lets do a show in central CA. Richard Nov 25
