Under the name of Marnamai music is made since the year 2003. Back then, the style consisted only of keyboard/ambient-based music with dark samples and sounds from nature. Since 2004 guitar, drums, bassguitar and vocals were also added. Until the begin of 2006 nothing was released, until now! The first CD of Marnamai is now for sale at http://www.marnamai.com !

The music can be described as atmosferisch zwart metaal (atmospheric black metal). Our interpretation of this is a base of black metal mixed with "atmospheric songs" with a typical sounding. Elements from the classical and traditional folkmusic are also used. The lyrical subjects are (Dutch/Germanic) paganism, personal experiences, the love for nature and history of own country and region.
