So I was talking to the weatherman and he told me there's a chance of rain and ROCK in the forecast. A State of Grace is officially a work in progress. We are off our butts and making new music after a temporary hiatus. If you have or haven't heard of the J-Wads, it's okay because they are the past. A State of Grace consists of three former members of the J-Wads with the addition of a good friend who gratefully just picked up the bass. Wishing to go beyond the bounds of our previous endeavors, we are developing a new sound by being more diverse in our music. You can hear this in the songs we've written already, but we are trying to make sure that you hear our best: something that is fully produced. We are very excited about the potential of State of Grace and we really hope that you guys dig it too. Thanks for looking us up and check back for updates and new songs, as we will try to keep you as informed as possible.

Biography: A State of Grace is Josh McBride on Drums, Jonathan Joseph on Guitar, Josh Knickerbocker on Guitar/Vocals, Mitchel Samels on bass. With the J-Wads on hiatus due to geographical inconveniences (we've gone to college, man), Josh, Josh, and Jonathan still sought to make more music. With the absence of the former bass player and former back-up guitarist from the J-Wads, Mitchel was recruited as the new bassist; State of Grace was complete. After a few practices, the group had obvious chemistry......

Josh McBride - (Alias: Doc) He breaks sticks and hearts as he goes baduka-dunk mad on the skins. His ripping double bass and sick beats are sure to turn heads. Attend a show... you might make it out alive. Besides the drums, he sings and writes songs.

Mitchel Samels - (Alias: Tonka) He's a really smart guy. He is new to the bass (and females) but taken under the wings of pros, he's catchin on quick and is very enthusiastic. He is very busy as the band, college, and his modeling career for Kohl's department stores keep him occupied. Mitchel also sings back-up.

Jonathan Joseph - (Alias: Camel Jockey) With a sound straight from Bombay, he drops veils like he drops tunings. JJ has played guitar for a while now; he comes up with riffs like Koby hits from the key. He drives a Cadillac and WON'T pay his gambling debts. Nuf said.

Josh Knickerbocker - (Alias: Chuck Norris) Mr. Knickerbocker, I like the way you boppity bop. Josh goes through girls like matches. He loves to mack, baby, hooray! No, he's not a girl? He is the bands lyricist and strum-a-dum guitar player.
