Our band is Asphalt.
Brian Morris plays the guitar.
Chris OHara plays the bass guitar.
Jonathan Davison plays the drums.
The singers are Brian and Chris.

We have been playing together for about five years, ever since our formation in our seventh grade year at Ligon GT Magnet Middle School in Raleigh, North Carolina. We have kept together and strengthened in this time.

If we had to put ourselves in a recognizable, socially accepted category, we would label ourselves as alternative rock. Our music is grungy, dirty, and frustrated at times. At other times it is contemplative, pensive, with an aura of hallucinogenic meditation. Yet, there is always a forward vibe, never breaching the bounds of necessity and straight-forwardness. This is part of what comes from being a three-piece, coupled with the grunge attitude towards song style.

There must be a perfect sonic cohesion, and a solid, interesting balance.
We are not a copy of other bands.

We have so much to offer in the depth of our songwriting and sincerity of our resolve. We do not sound like any one other band, and we know that we never will.
