Everything started the Febuary 23th 2002, when Altan, Tony and
Pierre-Luc decided to perform at the highschool's Student Show. They started to gig and realized something was missing. Altan decided to call Kevin, a good friend of him to join the band. They did the show, but they wanted more. Pierre-Luc leaved, and the three other guys decided to go on.

They wrote their 1st song,
which's call The light (this song has been modified since!). Then they wrote their first 7 songs, and decided to record a little demo even if they had neither singer nor bassist. Altan asked his sister to play the
bass on the cd but they didn't find anyone for the vocal, so they did it by themselves.

In the summer of 2004, A Silent Voice did 2 shows, with Elvan at the bass. But it was time for a break. Tony travelled for 10 months outside the country, and Altan did the same for 2 months, so the band took 8 months off. Altan and Kevin wrote one song during this time.The most important thing once everyone was back in Qubec was to find a bassman! At the first gig, K-ZO impressed them a lot, he was already a friend of A Silent Voice! They showed him all the songs, and started writing again. There was still no singer in the band. A Silent Voice put an ad on internet, and met Yan. After the first few gigs, they knew that the band was finally complete!

A Silent Voice is now recording another demo and plans to come up with the cd at the end of November. We started to perfom already at Kashmir and hope to perform soon again.

A Silent Voice is a mix between punk and hardcore, sometimes emo, with a melodic touch. We like to have our own sound.
