Ars Nova got its start as a project Luke wanted to work on for the sake of puting some of his program skills to use. After writing a few songs he recruited long time friend Tom to write some vocals for it. The plan was always to write an album for the hell of it, but after a month of writing, Luke and Tom decided they'd give live shows a shot.
