ARCADIA Biography
Arcadia was formed in Chaclacayo, Lima in 2001. The band was started by Edgar, a singer who was looking for other musicians to start a band. Prior to that, he had been in another band, with Freddy (Morbo). Edgar called Ricardo, a guitarist, who was very interested in making his own music. Later the three teamed up with a very skilled drummer by the name of Giancarlo. Arcadia first played in 2001, performing other artist's songs, such as Metallica, Deep Purple, and Led Zeppelin. The band's first album, Arcadia was released on April 30, 2003. Soon they won the reputation of "The Punch of the East" because of their powerful rhythm. In 2004 Freddy left the band, and was replaced by bass player Omar.
With enough music and new song going on, in July 2006 the band opened the Rata Blanca Concert in Huancayo, Junin. During 2007 and 2008 the band continued performing in the local scene with well known local bands such as M.A.S.A.C.R.E. and Piranha. In 2006 Omar left the band, and it meant the return of Freddy.
