My Bio

Just thought I'd post a bio for everyone to let you know a little more about me:
I started A place to Run a few years ago so that I could express what God has done for me, and different things I've gone through, in a way that people could relate to. I taught myself guitar, and began to write songs whenever I felt the need to say something, or to get it out, and things just sort of molded into what's here. I really think that music is a gift from God, so it's a blessing to give back to Him some of what He's given us.
Personally, I go to Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, where I'm majoring in political science and also playing baseball. I live in Newtown, PA (which is near Philadelphia) when I'm not at school. Recently, I got engaged to my beautiful fiancee, Amy, and she's a huge part of my life.
Why do I care about God? Well, a few years ago, I decided that if there was a God I should probably figure out what he is all about. So, I got to reading and studying, and talked to a lot of people, and came to know about Jesus. I learned that God is perfect, and we're not, so we can't really get to know God or have a relationship with Him on our own. So, He sent Jesus, his only son, to earth to die on the cross. Since Jesus lived a perfect life, His death could pay for our imperfection (some people call this sin), and take it away. When he rose from the dead three days later, Jesus conquered death and sin, allowing anyone who beleives in Him to have a realtionship with God, and also go to Heaven when the die. It's amazing that God loves us so much, and it's been awesome to get to know Him better and grow in a relationship with Him. So, I decided that what God wants for me should be the purpose of my life, so I try to center all I do around Him.
