With loads of energy and Crosscore: apRon are unavoidable in 2009. Crosscore-Never heard of it? Well, then you don't know apRon. On their brand new self- titled debut album the five musicians mix the straightforwardness and strenth of crossover with the brutality and recklessness of hardcore and shake your speakers with their musical neologism Crosscore. "As if Marilyn Manson's half-brother was having an affair with System of a Down's sister-in Jim Morrison's unmade bed", says apRon singer Thomy. Right from the start "apRon" points one thing out: Dumb cliches and stupid compromising are definitely not happening here! apRon are masters of the unexpected, and of the extremes! Breathtaking guitar riffs, a seemingly decadent urge to combine the uncombinable and pure violence as ever re-appearing foundation. "Violence Is Our Art", that's the bands main motto. "We deliberately trigger the dual exchange of the stylistic devices of violence between band and audience", explains drummer Medusa. "Our music is brutal, yes, indeed. But in the way of 'A Clockwork Orange'-protagonist Alex DeLarge, who is everything but a dim, beating, stupid hooligan.
Already making an impact in the USA with mass airplay on both terrestrial and online stations as well as personally being invited to be featured on a sampler with major acts Snot,Otep and Mensrea(consisting of Gwar members). apRon looks to make an impact on the entire world soon as they attempt to be placed in the Guiness Book Of World Records in late September. "The Longest Concert On The Planet" will be the record they aim for with a 63 hour concert,to find a more dedicated band would be blasphemy. Take a listen to the music and you will find yourself saying "Music has taken a turn for the better" and indeed it has. Look for apRon to be coming to the States for shows by mid 2010.
