ANTILLECTUAL is a trio from the Nijmegen area in the Netherlands. The music can be described as melodic punkrock with political lyrics. Despite the young age this band already has a solid and ever growing "fan base" all over Europe and the U.S.A. This happened playing over 150 shows in the last 3 years, including a 3-week USA tour. Their live show and following has increased gig by gig, supporting bands like IGNITE, STRUNG OUT, STRIKE ANYWHERE, AGAINST ME!, A WILHELM SCREAM, The UNSEEN and The LAWRENCE ARMS. This full time band is being run on a DIY ideology mixed with a professional attitude.

After the debut full-length Silencing Civilization (released in 2005 by the Dutch Angry Youth Records getting them a lot of critical acclaim) these guys are ready to put out their new studio album 'TESTIMONY'.
The album contains 10 songs where aggressive riffs are mixed with a well motivated critical point of view. Recorded, mixed and mastered by Nico van Montfort (a.o. Face Tomorrow, Malkovich, Instil), 'Testimony' will be released by 6 independent labels in Europe. Fond of Life Records, Infected Records, No Reason Records, Rise or Rust Records, Shield Recordings and Youth Way Records will cover the main part of Europe (The United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Holland, Belgium, Austria, Portugal and Luxembourg). This label family has been created to support and push the potential of this band. They are ready to play in each corner of this Old Continent. The album will be available in digipack, vinyl and MP3 format.
