Members: Carolyn Shima, Davin Field, Skylar Guimond, Eric Burns, Mitch Blumenshine
In the summer of 2004 Davin and Mitch met at a party when Davin was playing some guitar. Mitch being a drummer, and itching to start a new band contacted Davin and the Flirting of Aniara began. When Mitch suggested a second guitarist and a former band member named Eric the band started dating. Writting several songs and going through a couple of other lineups finally Davin ran into Carolyn due to a mistaken identity and Carolyn offerd to sing in this set up. With the lack of bass player, they were only one member short of rock. Carolyn was dating the guitarist of The Charter North who had a good friend that he had worked with and Carolyn was friends with Skylar aswell. On February 17 the band was born. In April Aniara broke into the Peoria scene with driving guitars raging drums and intense vocals.
