NEW(s)

blog post
Hello all you dear listeners. In case I have not made it obvious, ANdy & mE is now living in Portland OR! This move has been quite the change of pace, and so far it is sweet. As most of you know after the pressing/release of "split ourselves" the other members went on to other (hopefully bigger and better) things. Obviously my move to the Left Coast would have made it hard for us all to be playing together ass-well. Suffice it to say; for now, ANdy&mE is really just....well...me, Aaron. what does this mean exactly? I have no Effing idea! I would love to find some new members to continue with a full band assualt, but that is easier said than done (being in a band is like dating 3 dudes at the same time!) , but i will keep my antennae tuned and looking. I would also like to sell all of my equipment because i could make some serious dough! But then I could not write anything and get this garbage out of my brains....so where does that leave me? Exactly where I am! A new city, 3100 miles away from most the rock i knew, riding my moped or bike to my day job. I am hoping this will fuel the next round of "music" from me. In order to help with this I did what most struggling artists or musicians would do; bought more equipment. I recently procured some VERY rudimentary recording technology. you know, the kind that .01% of the time leads to a hit song, but the other 99.99% sounds like a crappy basement demo made by patchouli scented highschoolers whining about police brutality and child labor (based of course, on a day working at dairy queen)! We all got to learn the ropes somehow! which leads me to my charge to you-unz! To help learn how to use this blasted machine I thought it may be useful to record a song I know, and that some of you may like? (BTW i have plenty in the pipeline... but as Mr. Black once said "you cannot force inspirado, it comes from a quietude") So i thought if some of you email me or send me messages via this or myspace, i could record some acoustic version(s) of your favorite moments off of "split ourselves"! I wrote the whole damn album on an acoustic guitar so i think it should work out OK. I hope to hear from at least one of you! Until next time, 3 cheers for REAL fireworks and the last months of my denim cut-off shorts! Loves and HuGs! --------------AAron
