Andromeda is a band hailing from the tampa/gainesville area. In step with tampa(metal) they play heavy hardcore in the vein of bloodlet/scrog. Shifting between slow grooves to frantic breakdowns this emotionally charged band has played a lot of shows all over the world. They have a self titled 7" out on Toybox records and released a mini CD on Genet Records featuring their first 7" and three new songs. Andromeda also did a split with Pray Silent on a 7" format. The band consisted of Robert on guitar, Garry on second guitar, Tom on bass, Justin on drums, and Steve on vocals. This five piece was formed after the breakup of tampa's Order of Importance. The singer quit and steve was added to the line up and andromeda was formed. Armed with new material and a new musical approach they have continued to spread their brand of hardcore. Andromeda seems to have picked up where Order of Importance left off and expanded from simply a hardcore outfit to entail even more of an emotional yet heavy sound that will tear your eardrums out and yet make you examine humanity for what it really is ....a disease.
