A strange northern gantry town. Four young whelps lured from England's hazy backwaters, came, and formed a troupe calling themselves the Ampersands. In dark corners, hidden behind a rickety theatre, where creaking old heroes took turns to spit the contents of their blackened lungs into a little bucket by the door, the steam swirled in the minds of these four boys. the drips were collected, filtered and decantered into rumbling bass-lines, bombastic drum beats, the jangling guitar of Luke Foster, and the bad-ass verse of Stephen Hudson.
