As My Eye Sinks Into My Head is a two-piece band hailing from Woburn, Massachusetts. The band consists of brother and sister Gary Callahan and Marissa Callahan. They have been classified as pioneers in the genre of "doom hop", mixing digitally-engineered, depressing music with whispered and often unclear vocals. Gary Callahan also provides rap vocals on some tracks, thus the 'hop' part of the genre tag.

AMESIMH originated in July of 2008. The band's name is an inside reference to their mother's paranoia that one of her eyes was going to sink into her head.
