American Halo, an all girl rock band, is a jolt of alternative and pop rock roots. Formed in the fall of 2005 in New Brunswick, New Jersey, American Halo blends the attitude of Pink with the musical flare of Blondie and adds a splash of Kelly Clarkson, served in a fiery way! The ladies of American Halo include Cailyn, 18, on bass, Deanna, 20, on guitar/vocals, Lisa, 20, on drums and Nicole, 21, on guitar/vocals.
American Halo accomplished many feats within their first year as a band. The bands first two shows, in March 2006, were for Seventeen Magazine who contacted them to perform at a fashion show event in New Jersey and Delaware. The popular female magazine advertised with Rock out to a live performance by your favorite hometown band, American Halo, (Seventeen Magazine March 2006) on the trendy radio station, Z100 in New York City! In the fall of 2006 the band performed at the legendary Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ, and the Knitting Factory in New York City. American Halos picture even received airtime on The Game Show Networks PlayMania during the email segment of the show (Sept. 14, 2006 episode). The band receives airplay on college radio stations such as WNRC 97.5 and was even a nominee of the Top 25 New and Upcoming Songs of 2006 with their song Not Reality. Shortly after, one of the leading music industry publications, Billboard Magazine mentioned American Halo in the October 21, 2006 issue and then did a follow up article in the January 20, 2007 issue that pictured the band and quoted the original bassist, Kristen. In January 2007, American Halo ranked in position one in the first round of the Emergenza Festival. A month later in February, the band quickly became a featured artist at Ubl.com for their song Accept It.
Currently, American Halo is producing a record for release in the Fall 2007 and strives to be an inspiration to others. American Halo marches on with their infectious attitude as they mesmerize each audience they encounter!
