American Halo, an all girl rock band, is a jolt of alternative and pop rock roots. Formed in the fall of 2005 in New Brunswick, New Jersey, American Halo blends the attitude of Pink with the musical flare of Blondie and adds a splash of Kelly Clarkson, served in a fiery way! The ladies of American Halo include Cailyn, 18, on bass, Deanna, 20, on guitar/vocals, Lisa, 20, on drums and Nicole, 21, on guitar/vocals.
American Halo accomplished many feats within their first year as a band. The bands first two shows, in March 2006, were for Seventeen Magazine who contacted them to perform at a fashion show event in New Jersey and Delaware. The popular female magazine advertised with Rock out to a live performance by your favorite hometown band, American Halo, (Seventeen Magazine March 2006) on the trendy radio station, Z100 in New York City! In the fall of 2006 the band performed at the legendary Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ, and the Knitting Factory in New York City. American Halos picture even received airtime on The Game Show Networks PlayMania during the email segment of the show (Sept. 14, 2006 episode). The band receives airplay on college radio stations such as WNRC 97.5 and was even a nominee of the Top 25 New and Upcoming Songs of 2006 with their song Not Reality. Shortly after, one of the leading music industry publications, Billboard Magazine mentioned American Halo in the October 21, 2006 issue and then did a follow up article in the January 20, 2007 issue that pictured the band and quoted the original bassist, Kristen. In January 2007, American Halo ranked in position one in the first round of the Emergenza Festival. A month later in February, the band quickly became a featured artist at Ubl.com for their song Accept It.
Currently, American Halo is producing a record for release in the Fall 2007 and strives to be an inspiration to others. American Halo marches on with their infectious attitude as they mesmerize each audience they encounter!

**NEW BASSIST**
We are sorry to inform you that Kristen, our original and only bassist (until now) has departed from the band. Similarly to Lisa before, she had to leave us due to personal issues. This was a large portion as to why we have been unable to perform during the summer, however it is not entirely her fault. She will continue to be a "part" of the band by helping in any means she can. And we will miss her.
We would like to welcome Cailyn, our bassist! We (Cola and Cailyn) were childhood friends and have been in many bands together (when we were much younger). This helped make the transition simple for us and will enable us to continue on our schedule for the summer (i.e. recording, merch...etc.).
Sorry for all the member changes we have had and thanks for sticking with us!! We love you all! Thanks for your support!!
**MERCH AVAILABLE**
We have lots of t-shirt designs available for sale on our official website- www.americanhalomusic.com. We are having a sale on ALL merch including American Halo Jeans starting at just $4.50 (not including shipping/handling or any taxes that may apply)!! Order yours today or get yours at the next show!!
Stickers are also on the way!
**HITT MUSIC GROUP**
Recently, we were scouted by an A&R of the Hitt Music Group (located in CA). The organization has already managed to place "Letters", "Jekyl & Hyde", and "One More Saturday Night" into two feature films from Warner Brothers and also two indie films. And other bands we contacted that are a part of the Hitt Music Group community have publishing licenses with MTV, have landed indie film deals and have been featured on radio stations! We have only heard very good things about this company and decided to join it!
Since we are now a member, our music will be submitted for film/commercials and across the U.S. to college radio stations and there are even possibilities of landing a label deal! This is only the tip of the ice berg still! But since we are new to it it will still take time to reach these goals!
We are very excited to start working with the staff of HMG!
**UPCOMING SHOWS**
Check the calendar for upcoming shows in September and October!!
xoxo
Much Love,
Dee x Cola x Lisa x Cailyn

Hey Everyone!!
We have A LOT of exciting updates for both you and us!!
**New Drummer**
First and foremost, we parted ways with Viveca (who replaced Lisa) and have FINALLY found a drummer whose style and personality fits with ours! Her name is Megan and she is a talented and goreous drummer (Pictures are up!)! She will be performing our next show (on Feb 23rd in Delran, NJ) with us so come out and meet her- this is also Kristen's BIRTHDAY show!! Come celebrate with us!
**Songs**
Secondly, we removed most of our songs from both our myspace and our official website. We are not satisfied with the quality of the recordings we have had up for a while. Unfortanetely when we went to record we paid an extremely high price for very low quality recordings. This bring us to our MOST EXCITING NEWS!
**RECORDING**
American Halo is possibly signing with the independent record label, Fashion Roadkill Records. I know we announced this a while ago but due to the drummer changes we had been unable to start recording. So we are setting up a recording date and location! In the meantime we are going to try to get some professional photos taken!!
**What is your favorite song? WE WANT TO KNOW**
For our 5 song demo we are trying to decide what songs people like the best! So if you have a favorite please let us know so we can record our best songs!! Also the photos that are up now are temporary until we have everything done!!
Thanks for your support and bare with us during this time!
