In 2001 a band was formed, they were known as "Dirty Paradise",
in 2002 the driving members split off and decided to start a new band,
and at that moment, "The American Birdbrains" were born.
In late 2002 they recorded their first demo, "Raibow Falmingoes get Drunk",
not exactly a Platinum record, but it was progress.
There was progression agin in early 2003 when there first small shows at "Brownstone" and other local home shows were a hit.
And by the end of the year they had grown from a 4 song set, to nearly 14 songs.
Which by the begining of 2004 a album was released with the name, "Pantsless"
Towards the end of 2004 the band picked up a new guitarist, and they began writting new matterial.
Before the start of 2005, the newest member left.
At mid 2005, a 5 song demo was created, givin the name "Me = King",
Only a handful of copies were ever made and sold.
By the begining of 2006 the band was thriving and had 19 new songs ready for recording,
they procedded to bulid their own recording studio and started recording their material.
Now towards the end of 2007, the band is slowing their roll due to schedualing conflicts and jail time.
In the last year the band was only able to perform a couple of times here and there,
but with close to 50 original songs in the band's database, the band is ready to make their move.

The American Birdbrains are looking for gigs!!!
We've got two self-recorded albums and have played at Brownstone and countless open houses.
Then work and jail got in the way for the past year or so, and we haven't played in a while.
But the thirst for an audience is growing in our bellies like fungus on a week-old gym sock, and we are ready to play!
If any band can help us get in (and some of the bands that Justin has covered for the paper should pay attention) anywhere, send us a message. If any venues are looking for a fun, original band, send us a message.
Hell, if there's a party with free beer for the band, send us a message.
