Hello everyone. I apologize for my lack of nurturing this particular site (or the project itself) and not staying in touch as I should... I'll try better next time =) Onto the fantastic news. Akouein (strictly acoustic music from ambient summer) album that's been in the works for quite some time is to be finally released this summer around mid-june is what I'm aiming for. It will be a completely free download to all of you loyal fans, and will feature about 12 songs (possibly more if I feel inspired ;). At first when I started this project I felt I needed to keep the music free of charge as it is free of spirit. Financially it was a bit frustrating. So I thought I would charge a mild fee. Well Im back to square one. I figure we all have one shot in life to make a difference and one shot to make a stand... I want to honor the much forgotten medium in music nowadays and its the most important one too; you, the fans, my fans. To show my appreciation of you and my love for the purity of music and the project Akouein will be for you the fans :) But there's more. So far I've released only the acoustic side of the project and one hybrid (from the fusion album due later this year) titled "___". Im lacking a bit on the name "AMBIENT" in the project. So Im planning a full Ambient album due next spring after I get the proper equipment. This is the roadmap for Ambient Summer. Acoustic music will always be free of download with the first being the Akouein suite. After which There will be no "official" Acoustic cd and music will be released as soon as its finished production. Hybrid projects may or may not be free of charge it depends on the resources I use during production but all cost will go back into the project for more free stuff (including some shirts, buttons etc. down the line). Here is the part I've spent the most contemplating on and trying to sort out in how it will all go down in reality. The future of ambient summer is atmosphere, and emotion, hypnotic and sensational music to inspire. I was so frustrated with seeing so many pass me where I have failed and I think why I've failed in past ambition is my desire to please the critics rather than follow my heart. Ambient Summer was inspired by the beauty I witnessed and continue to witness in nature and put it into music. Not new age, not the traditional ambient music, or indie, or acoustic, but something different, and not different for the sake of being different ;) but for the sake of expression and soul; which I believe if followed correctly will open new paths for music. Whether its well received I dont care anymore, I plan on writing as I hear the music in the rustling of leaves, the whisper of wind and the music of life all around. And yes I will be performing this newer asummer music live when the equipment becomes available (about spring 09). so stay tuned, much change and much more music to come.
