In the world of high school bands few have achieved the success that Always Tomorrow has. This band featured in the January 2005 edition of the Northern Lights has made many changes over the past year. The band has lost and gained a member and enjoyed some exciting moments both on and off stage. Throughout the summer of 2005 Always Tomorrow spent some time touring through the state of California, but perhaps the most exciting event for them was playing a stop on the Van's Warped Tour. The tour is a big deal for bands because it allows them to play in front of many people who would normally not see them. Although an even more important aspect of the Warped Tour for bands like Always Tomorrow is the exposure they have to record labels. The biggest change for the band is the addition of their new singer Adam Houchins. Always Tomorrow was forced to relieve their former singer and guitarist Dan Stunkel because of his lack of commitment for the band. After posting singer wanted ads on Evansvillescene.com, they ran across Adam. He begged for an audition to prove that he could fill Dan's shoes. The band was not dissapointed; Adam filled the spot and even proved to be a competent song writer. Always Tomorrow may be his first experience as a singer for a rock band, but thats not to say he lacks a musical background. Adam has been singing for most of his life in places that range from church to sing choir. The guitar vacancy left by Dan has also forced the guys to be more creative with their instrumentation. Fortunately, keyboardist Mike Brady has been able to take up the slack. They actually find their music to be "cleaner and not so raw" as bassist Jeremiah Galey claims now that they only have one guitar. They have also been able to feature keyboards more and they just feel like their music locks together better. As a whole, Always Tomorrow has gone through many changes and tough times. Replacing a singer isn't easy but that's not the only hardship the guys have suffered through. They also lost a close friend who they remember on stage through their song "Song For The Sorrowful." The band seems to be headed in a good direction and hopefully they will continue to be successful and someday make music the whole world will hear.
