In the dark corners of Pittsburgh, the hardcore underground thrives. Over many years, like a neglected child, the likes of us adolescent, high-spirited and adrenaline-addicted have been overlooked and limited to run-down VFW's and trashy firehalls, forced to retreat to our only half packed-if that-venues and stand in shame at the lifeless shell that is "the scene". That time is no more.
Little do you know that revival is brewing right in your own backyard. A newborn flame is being set ablaze and Pittsburgh hardcore is the forest in our path. We are ALURA, the spawn of passion, skill and spirit. Musicians and listeners alike, all must prepare for the driving beats, ceaseless energy, mindblowing hooks and colossal force that is ALURA. Consider yourself one of two people: the ones out busting their tails to tell people to come to shows, coming out and having the time of their life, or the ones sitting at home wishing they were. Where do you stand?
Alura is quickly stirring up the hardcore scene around Pittsburgh, trying to promote their name and playing local shows any day at any time. Since the end of the '06 summer, Alura has shared the stage with many bands including Greeley Estates, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Alesana, Isadora, Winter's Halo, Jaded Holly, O Captain My Captain, Those Who Fear and many more.
