After spending 2 years as the bassist for Island/Def Jam artist Primer 55, Kobie Jackson decided to share his songs and another facet of his personality by venturing out on his own in 2002. "I love playing and listening to aggressive music, but when I write my own songs I try to come from a different place" states Jackson. "This album reflects much of the joy and pain I have experienced, and, hopefully will allow others to share and relate to those things as well." The end result is album titled "Voodoo For Fun And Profit" slated to hit stores March 9th, 2005. "We are playing and recording as a group, and the experience couldn't be more fulfilling or enlightening. Being in a band with these guys playing the music we play has become a necessary catharsis in my life."
Alston recently completed their long awaited CD with Scrap 60 Productions (Anthrax, Dry Kill Logic, 36 Crazyfist, H20), and will be hitting the road in support of the new CD to bring their powerful songwriting and music to people everywhere.
