OUT 4 JUSTICE: This is a new one we're working on. Brent played bass, Tony played the drums,
and I played the guitar synth. It's not really finished, but I put it on here anyways. Brent would be mad if he knew I put this one on here. He messed up the end of this song. I messed up too though, but I'm not really worried about it 'cause no one really checks this PureVolume stuff unfortunately.
FUNKED UP: Brent Boone played bass and Tony Christopher played an electric drum pad. Brent also played the bass solo on December Night, and guitar on Weather Channel.
KEEP TRYING: This song has the full band playing on it. Dee has been comming over and recording some vocals. I think she's gonna work out just fine. Anyways, This song was :
DEE - vocals
JEFF - acoustic guitar
BRENT - bass
TONY - drums
I didn't even use my synth on this one. I'm tempted, but I think I'll just leave this one alone. I'm gonna rerecord this song and have a version that's just Dee and I. Well, I hope you guys like it. I'm excited to have a vocalist now. I think it'll open up a lot more doors for us.
GYPSY'S CURSE: I played a few different guitar tracks on this one. I came up with the original draft/progression and Brent did a shit load more tracks on his Yamaha synth. I use a Roland guitar synth on most of the stuff, but Brent ocassionally uses a traditional keyboard synth. He's really good at it and I wish he'd use it more. If we both had loop stations, he'd use it more. Without looping though, it'd be impossible for us to perform some of this stuff live. Brent can't really play bass and synth at the same time. I know, I know, Geddy Lee right? Well I guess Brent's no Geddy Lee, but I like B Boo's style better anyways. The Weather Channel and Gypsy's Curse are both filled with overdubs. The other two we can easily pull off live. Anyways, this song is a product of Brent's crazy mind at the time of recording. I really love the way it turned out, but that's not what we usually do.
Later,
Jeff
