a little affair (uh lit'al uh-far') n. 1, a three piece band from southern New Jersey that plays Indie Rock music.2, a band that draws influences from a variety of artists, and has a dynamic sound in each song, and from song to song. 3, a band that plays the kind of music that comes out of them naturally, with out trying to sound like a certain band or genre.

Ben Hughes started writing songs for A Little Affair in 2005. He quickly filled up many journals with songs, but as much as he enjoyed writing and recording the songs alone, he always wanted to get a group of hard working, dedicated, and loyal guys together to realize his dream.

Ryan Buzby was the second piece put into place. He and Ben had been playing music together for about 6 years by the time A Little Affair became their main focus in March of 2007. They worked for a little while with Ben on guitar and Ryan on drums, while waiting to find the next piece.

In the beginning of May, A Little Affair was enhanced by Tom Cochran on bass. He caught on and played with Ben and Ryan like he had been playing with them forever. They have been hard at work crafting and recording their songs since May preparing for their first release.
