New Jersey-based artist Alex Brumel is a 23-year-old singer/songwriter quickly making a name for himself in historic clubs like CBGB (RIP) and The Stone Pony. A 2007 University of Michigan graduate, he has already shared stages with songwriters such as Dispatch's Pete Francis and Ingrid Michaelson, famed producer Don Dixon, and Grammy-Nominee Duncan Sheik (with whom he worked extensively on developing his Tony Award-winning "anti-musical," SPRING AWAKENING), and co-written material with Ari Hest. Deeply rooted in the folk, rock, and country music traditions, Alex writes music for fans of all styles of folk, rock, country, and pop music.
Alex plans to release the follow-up to his self-titled 2006 debut, entitled "To Bring You Home," on Glenwild Records in Fall 2008. The record, which Alex co-produced with drummer/percussionist Eric Novod, will feature 11 brand-new songs and 1 brand-new arrangement of an old favorite.
