Adopted by chamame, this talented young man from Buenos Aires, eminent accordeonist, composer and arranger, has been related to people -since his childhood- who strongly influenced his musical taste: in first place his father, Hipolito Brittes, who worked as a manager of many chamame artists; his mentor, Fito Ledesma, and his teacher, Nini Flores.
He grew up surrounded by talented musicians like Isaco Abitbol, who considered him "a very good accordeonist" when he was only fifteen. This familiarity with the chamame scene absolutely defined his musical style, taking artists like Transito Cocomarola, Ernesto Montiel or Abelardo Dimotta as a model.
Following the traditional line of chamame, his artistry and sugestive compositions gives a renewed air to the genre.
In 1992 he recorded his first album, "Por la senda chamamecera", with many positive repercutions. Months later, the second one was released: "A la luz del Candil". Later it came, in recognition of his work, "Alejandro Brittes ganador Cosquin 1996". His fourth album, "P'al taconeo", includes eleven songs of his own authory and some other from authors like Mario Millan Medina or Ernesto Montiel. "Por la misma senda", his last CD, has been widely accepted by both brazilian and argentinean public.
