Hello there, we are Alaska Campus. An indie/alternative band formed in Hertfordshire, England. We are strongly influenced by Bombay Bicycle Club, Foals and The Smiths. Our sound consists of great dynamical variations, unique and delicate vocals with a humble layering of accompaniment from the rest of the band, and an altogether mellow, atmospheric sound.
Our first EP was successfully released on the 15th August 2011 named Keep Yourself Warm we have created a very positive response with the records Blow, Summer Someday and Felicity. We created a rapid, overwhelming impression by performing live in and around London with shows such as Bombay Bicycle Clubs official after show party, headlining the Hatfield forum and supporting at the 02 Islington Academy. The entire EP is available to purchase from big cartel and the single Blow is available to download from Itunes.
On the 24th March 2012 we released our first mini album When We Were Young at our best home town venue and effectively sold out the venues capacity and completely sold out on albums. Fortunately we were able to play the venues last night of live music and can proudly say we gave it a memorable send off. When We Were Young will be performed throughout 2012; progressing with tours, acoustic tours, official and professional music videos, radio plays and interviews, television and press.
We have many other internet pages e.g. Twitter, Facebook and many more so if you have the time please check them out and become a fan.
If you like our music then we strongly recommend you check out our friends on Purevolume. Every friend/band has given us motivation and the creativity to write the music we play today.
