Hailing from the southernmost part of Wisconsin, the boys of Alakrity have captured the eyes and ears of people all over the country. In their hometown of Beloit, WI in 2003, deciding that life has to offer much more than school and conventional work, Phil Carper and Andy Lutz founded the band. Alakrity, a name derived from the old English word meaning cheerful readiness. After adding bassist/vocalist and long time friend, Brad LeBaron, the band performed as a trio for a year until rhythm guitarist Peter Murray was added to fill the void. In a world where pop punk music has become the favorite genre of preteens and young adults alike, they work toward inspiring life changing experiences through music written about real-life experiences.
Their music is pumped full of exciting riffs and catchy melodies along with silky smooth harmonies that give life to their already epic tunes. The live performances leave their audience with the feeling of wanting more and more, helping them develop a loyal fan base wherever they go. In the summer of 2007, after winning the 2007 Les Paul Launchpad award in a statewide battle of the bands competition, Alakrity signed to Spurgatory Records, a Wisconsin based independent label. Before joining the Rock for Life Tour in early summer, they met their future manager and soon signed with Robert Anthony Management, an artist agency out of Monaca, PA. The rest of the summer, they played Summerfest Wisconsin, Shoutfest Ohio, Cornerstone California, and the many dates scheduled on the Rock for Life Tour across the country.
Their performance at the 2007 Madison Area Music Awards left the members of the packed house at the Barrymore Theatre wowed.
The Launchpad Madison regional winnersshook the house like no one else Saturday night.

I guess you thought my comment I left yesterday was
offensive, and I\'m sorry. I guess I should really
think about what I say before I say it.
