AkoufeN est un band punk/rock alternatif franco-ontarien, majoritairement natif de Timmins, Ontario. On y retrouve aussi des racines du sud de l'Ontario de la ville d'Hawksebury. Depuis 2008, AkoufeN a fait plusieurs spectacles dans sa province et a remporter de nombreux concours important tel que, La Brunante, Ontario Pop et a aussi participe aux demi-finales du Festival de la chansons de Granby. En juin 2010, AkoufeN lanca sont premier EP intitule Sens Perdu qui vend, des sa premiere semaine, plus de 300 exemplaires. Des octobre 2010, AkoufeN prepare un nouveau spectacle avec de nouvelles compositions tout en participant au concours l'Omnium du Rock en Outaouais. Tout recemment, AkoufeN remporta la premiere place au LME Battle of the Band et aura acces a la ronde finale en aout 2011. Mettez vos ear plugs: l'acouphene ne fait que commencer...

If you could translate AkoufeN in English, you would get Tinnitus. Obviously, they are not going to be coming out with acoustic guitars... This Ottawa based punk/metal band is not just like any other band. They are succeeding in doing what some might consider impossible: Building a musical career in French in Ontario, Canada! These four friends, native from Timmins and Hawkesbury, have been playing as AkoufeN for 3 years now. Their first EP "Sens Perdu" as sold over 300 copies in only 2 months. In September of 2010, AkoufeN had the chance to perform at Canada's biggest Francophone music festival, "Le Festival international de la chanson de Granby" in Granby, QC. Recently, AkoufeN got 1st place in LME's Battle of the Bands semi-final round and will be performing at the finals in August 2011. They are currently all students in Ottawa, where they will shoot their first music video. You have not heard the end of this great Ottawa based band.
