So this is what the future feels like?
Hmmm...interesting.
2007. That just sounds like a year out of the future. I can just hear that old television voice chiming in with, "IN 2007 WE WILL ALL FLY AROUND IN JET PACKS AND LIVE IN COLONIES ON THE MOON".
Shit. I feel like I'm living on the moon sometimes but I definitely don't have a jet pack. At least not yet! I like to be a positive thinker though.
So what should we do this year? What's it going to be like? Are we going to get lots done, feel good about ourselves and go boldly into the great unknown? Or will it just be more of the same. Same old hum-drum, get-r-done, day in and day out boring monatony. Who knows? I guess we really don't have much of a choice. We're going to find out one way or the other, no matter how hard we may try and fight it.
In one of my songs I wrote, "Time won't wait for anyone". That's the truth! It just keeps on going and going, and either you're tripping over yourself trying to keep up or you find a way to keep the pace and enjoy yourself.
I say we all jog along together at a fairly good speed, not too fast and not too slow. In the wise words of Adam Sandler, let's do it "...at a medium pace". Just right. Just keeping the pace, not trying to get ahead of ouselves and not trying avoid the inevitable. Just keeping on. On and on.
Cause in the end, we really have no choice.
