Purevolume love

Well hello there!

Big hey to everybody who's joined the team recently. Welcome Welcome.

I must say...I usually do my blogging over at that "other" place. Yeah yeah, you know what I'm talking about. Rhymes with ace and all that.

But why should that be? Why I ask! Why must I blog in one place alone!!! Well mostly the answer is cause I'm lazy. I admit it. I can be one lazy mo-fo-no-sho-dang-lo if you know what I'm saying.

But today, on this night (morning), at this very moment...this Blog is for you. You and only you.

I just joined facebook. Anybody on facebook too? I have no clue what I'm doing but I'm learning my way around. I still don't really feel like I know my way around Purevolume either. If anyone has any helpful hints or pointers please shoot them my way. I can always be reached at akiva@akivamusic.com . Definitely drop me an line and say hello. I'm friendly. Promise.

So yeah facebook. I can't lie I'm not in school anymore, those days are past (and thankfully so)..so the world of facebook was merely a myth, something people told me about but I couldn't partake in. I felt like an outcast, a loner...unloved. BUT NOW I'm in. In like a family of monkey's at a banana farm. I'm so, so....Happy? Yeah I guess you could say I'm happy. I still have no clue what the hell I'm doing though. I think I said that already.

So this is what the future feels like?

Hmmm...interesting.

2007. That just sounds like a year out of the future. I can just hear that old television voice chiming in with, "IN 2007 WE WILL ALL FLY AROUND IN JET PACKS AND LIVE IN COLONIES ON THE MOON".

Shit. I feel like I'm living on the moon sometimes but I definitely don't have a jet pack. At least not yet! I like to be a positive thinker though.

So what should we do this year? What's it going to be like? Are we going to get lots done, feel good about ourselves and go boldly into the great unknown? Or will it just be more of the same. Same old hum-drum, get-r-done, day in and day out boring monatony. Who knows? I guess we really don't have much of a choice. We're going to find out one way or the other, no matter how hard we may try and fight it.

In one of my songs I wrote, "Time won't wait for anyone". That's the truth! It just keeps on going and going, and either you're tripping over yourself trying to keep up or you find a way to keep the pace and enjoy yourself.

I say we all jog along together at a fairly good speed, not too fast and not too slow. In the wise words of Adam Sandler, let's do it "...at a medium pace". Just right. Just keeping the pace, not trying to get ahead of ouselves and not trying avoid the inevitable. Just keeping on. On and on.

Cause in the end, we really have no choice.

I have been a very bad boy...

I'm sorry I've been neglecting you. You're good and you don't deserve it. Please find it in your hearts to forgive a quirky songwriter....

So, I hope you're all doing well. Welcome to all the new folk who have joined on recently, glad to see the love is spreading. Thanks to everyone who's contacted me too about shows and such. If you have a show/school you'd like me to play at, send me a message ( akiva@akivamusic.com ) and I'll do my best to hook it up. This is the wonderful world of indie musicianship, ask and you shall receive.

I posted some new shows...more will be coming up soon. I also put up a few pictures from the NACA Nationals Convention up in Boston I was just at. 3,000 college students just can't be wrong. Looks like between now and next winter I will probably be coming to a college near you (or someone you know at least). I'm happy.

Ok...time to go. Hope all is well with you. Sorry again for not stopping by lately, just been busy like a madman.
