South Florida's A Jealousy Issue may have initially attracted attention due to
their association with a few well-known ensembles, namely Poison the Well and
Keepsake, but once the dust settled, fans began to realize that there was more
to this quintet than name value alone. The "Somebody Shoot Me, I Think I'm In
Love" EP dropped into a scene frenzy when it was released in 2002, unabashedly
capturing the band's emotionally metallic hardcore concoctions. After setting
out to record a follow-up EP the group quickly realized that they could
assemble a much more intriguing release, and soon set their mind to not only
recording a handful of new songs but also re-mastering the previously released
EP; all of which has become "If The Flames Don't Kill Us...We Will". Once again
teaming up with producer Jeremy Staska (Poison The Well, New Found Glory, Shai
Hulud), these men have created a tumultuous metalcore grenade that matches
their early energy with an amplified heaviness, providing listeners with a
convenient timeline of their young career. In conclusion, A Jealousy Issue are
to the point and head straight for the jugular. Pick up a copy of the new album
and turn it up to murder!
