should not release any singles but purely make albums. It's an 'old school Rock ethic' type thing that seems to be a running theme with this band. After the Fall are as much influenced by The Angels, AC/DC or Midnight Oil as they are by their modern day Punk Rock contemporaries and this is what defines their distinctive sound.
After the Fall self-titled album released on June 27 2004, was one of the most anticipated Australian debut rock releases of the year, and throughout 2004 the band have gained snowballing media support, with such things as JJJ album of the week and 'A' rotation on Channel [V], to MMM rotation ATB down the east coast for 'Mirror Mirror'. But in the end its the fans that are the biggest testimony of a bands popularity, and with over 4,000 kids on the After the Fall street team after 6 months and the band constantly appearing in video and music polls throughout the year, After the Fall are positioned to be a force to be reckoned with in 2005.
After the Fall debut came in as one of the Top 50 Albums of 2004 in RollingStone magazines "Year Book" issue.
After the Fall also came in at the Number 1 position on the Triple Radio's Short.Fast.Loud top 40 Albums of 2004.
After the Fall also made it into the Triple J Hottest 100 with the first single "Mirror Mirror" The band finished off the year on the live front playing main stage at the sold out Homebake Festival in December 2004
In March 05 After the Fall travelled to the USA to play at the SXSW Music Festival in Austin Texas. The band played 5 shows in 4 days.
In March 2005 After the Fall headed back into the studio to record their second album Always Forever Now, which was releases in August 2005. The album was produced by Melbournes Richard Stolz and mixed by Kevin caveman Shirley (USA).
The album debuted at Number 36 on the national ARIA charts and stayed in the top 40 for 8 weeks _Once Again with strong media support the album was made Album Of The Week on Triple J Radio and the first track from the album, Concrete Boots was added to Triple Radio, MTV, CHV & Nova FM. The track also made Triple Js Hottest 100 coming in at N.. 30 which was also added the Hottest 100 CD.
After the Fall havent really left the road, touring the country Nationally through out September / October 2005 on the back of the new album Always Forever Now. The band released the second track from the album The Fighter in early September 2005, which also received great rotation on Triple J Radio, Nova FM, MTV and CHV as well as much regional station around the country.
After the Fall have just released the third track from the album Outta Mind and have just finished a National tour with UK band The Darkness throughout April and will hit the road again on the Outta Mind Tour throughout MAY 2006 in support of the new track.
