Portland's A Fragile Shade are reflective of their culturally diverse hometown. Organically conceived under the gray sky and do it yourself attitude of the Northwest, this four-piece post-hardcore band has brought their self-violent live shows, intelligent music, and passion for community to thousands across the country. Developing a complex sound that pays respect to metal as much as it does to jazz , A Fragile Shade have defied scene standards and continuously redefined their music. Having become a mainstay on the independent touring circuit they have shared the stage with many national touring acts including Brandtson, The Panic Division, The Rocket Summer, The Fully Down, Project 86, August Burns Red, Flee The Seen, Inked In Blood, Still Life Projector, Coretta Scott , Love Hate Hero, The Warriors, Desole and many others. With every explosion, gang vocal, and guitar swing, A Fragile Shade's family style following has allowed for them to earn the reputation of a relentless, hard working band that you will be seeing much more of.


With a new release exceeding expectations and five tours under their belts, the members of A Fragile Shade have sold homes, lost jobs, and auctioned off most everything they can on e-bay in order to follow their dream.
