'A Dying Breath is an explosive Melodic Rock/Post Hardcore band that united with a common passion for great music back in November of 2004. Having since taken a long break from the band, all of (5) current members have created, joined, and/or left numerous other projects over the last several years (Splitfinger, Crossthread, Ekocyde, Headchange, Faster Than Drugs, X Factor 1, Torn Between). Bands of today are faced with two major obstacles in attaining success in the music industry. Creating an original sound is the first of two major obstacles. The emergence of thousands of local bands (national recording artists alike) has flooded and saturated this market all at the same time. While your average local bands will conform to a pre-established genre, competing with thousands of other bands to be typecast the next big thing, A Dying Breath strives to be the first, rather the godfather in a genre of their own. Long-time band-mates and friends for life, the members of A Dying Breath individually and collectively possess the loyalty and dedication to overcome the second major obstacle to success ---> staying power.
