Biography:

Adrastea has been a band since June of 2003, playing local shows wherever they could find them. They practiced constantly to hopefully one day perfect their sound and reach the ears of others who share the same appreciation for music that they do. After a year of practice and progression, Adrastea headed into the studio to record their first EP, The Burning Corpse of a Hornless Unicorn. Having Positive feedback from their peers and local musicians they continued to play and write, eventually to evolve into their current sound. Once again they concentrated on writing and progressing to capture the sound that they were searching for. With new material, Adrastea is focusing on an upcoming EP, hoping to eventually become as widely recognized and appreciated as the bands they draw their motivation from.
Winters Longest Night, a portrayal of the rise and downfall of an addiction to drugs, Lies Sewn Shut a story of pain and the struggle of childhood through the eyes of a victim, are just a couple of the songs they have been working on. Now with this new material, Adrastea is searching for a light to help continue on the path of musical expression.

Adrastea is a band that believes that a live show is not only a way to get music out to others but a way to connect with people, on a level that no record or recording may bring. It doesnt matter what others say, Adrastea will only continue to prove that music is more than a fun time; it is a passion that must be unleashed and shared with all those who listen.
