Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Explosions in the Sky, Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Dave Matthews Band, Tori Amos, Sigur Ros, The Beatles, Sonic Youth, Mission of Burma... music that I listen to regularly has a huge impact on my songwriting. I take what I can from the music I hear and morph it into my own sound, my own creations, my own soul. What's happened so far is I've very recently delved into the world of recording, as I now have the equipment/program to do so. So far, it's been mostly me, my guitars, my keyboard, and only recently the addition of a proper microphone.
Recently, I've been on a Post-Rock binge. And it shows. Boy, does it show. As well, I've been listening to an overdose of Arty Punk and moving into an Electronica phase, all of which factors in and mixes and mingles.
