Hey guys!
Bassist Ian Kaufman is already jamming with a new bunch of guys at university in a band called "Everything in Truth". It's some pretty awesome stuff, so check them out at http://www.myspace.com/everythingintruth

Bad news. News that I had a sneaking suspicion would happen. Album cancelled!
Nathan ordered this sweet half-decent mic. But then it never came. Ever.
Then, we had some other decent mic opportunities. And they never came through either. So here it is, the end of May, and still no nice mic. And it's getting a bit too late for our awesome full-album idea.
It's also the end of the school year, and all the band members are parting ways to different universities across Ontario, so keeping the band together is an impossibility. So I guess this is goodbye. We were hoping to go out with a bang and record all our songs, but I don't think that'll be happening anymore. Maybe we'll get some more of our songs down with our usual $10 mic method... or maybe not. Who knows.
Adelaide West began in fall of 2005 and ended now. In that period, we played two shows, wrote about 10 songs, and got 5 or 6 of them to a good, playable state. It doesn't sound like much, but it was a great experience for all of us. We had a unique sound and a good number of people enjoyed our music, which is what it comes down to in the end.
Thanks to everyone that has supported us this past year. It's been a blast.

Hello, loyal fanbase!
We've put up a new song entitled "In This Life". It's the band's favorite song currently, and we hope you like it too.
And now for some exciting news!
All the members of Adelaide West are going off to university next year, and are thus parting ways. We, as well as many listeners, believe that we have composed some amazing work, and we don't want to lose it. Thus, Adelaide West will be focusing its attention on recording a full album that will be released in early June.
The intention of the album isn't to make a ton of money or make it big (although either of those outcomes would be pretty sweet), but is more of a record of the work we have done. That being said, we are not going to be getting our album professionally recorded and mixed. We are investing in a half decent microphone, as well as professional cover art and CD labels, but we cannot afford to spend hundreds of dollars in a recording studio. The CD will be at a low price under 10 bucks, have 12 tracks, and awesome music. Stay tuned, it should be awesome.

Adelaide West has a new gig! A little event called Cafe Hope! (you gotta start somewhere, right?)
WHERE: O'Neill Collegiate and Vocational Institute (301 Simcoe Street N)
WHEN: This Friday, March 3rd. 7PM - 9PM
This event features many talented musicians, so the exact time and length of our set is not for certain. But we'll definitely have at least two or three songs in, you can be sure.
Hope to see you all out there! For those waiting for more recordings... we've got something big planned... :)

You can now view photos from our first show at http://photos.adelaidewest.com! More photos to come in the future, but check these ones out for now.
Did you notice the address? Yes, we have a website! www.adelaidewest.com is the place to be. It's fairly empty right now, but one day there will be plenty to see. One day...
Currently, we're writing a bunch of songs and making arrangements for future gigs. Stay tuned!
