A Dead Refrain started as five friends who wanted to take their love of metal and hardcore music and create a hybrid that was as fun to listen to and see as the bands they grew up loving. What sets A Dead Refrain apart from other bands in the "metalcore" genre is their love of all forms of music, their dedication to sharpening their songwriting and playing skills, a collective fun-loving and laid back mindset, and a visually/physically intense live show.
